December is upon us already!
Dear Kestrel Families,
It will be a very full month for us here at school and I am sure at home as well. We hope to see you next week for conferences.
We will be having a Book Fair again this year! The hours for the Book Fair will mirror those for conferences through Thursday, December 7th. We will also have our Pastries with Parents on Tuesday, December 5 from 8:00-9:00 in the morning. We will have donuts and coffee/milk in the gym. Then students may take their parents to the Book Fair.
We would like to help the Pasco School District Transportation Department fill a school bus with food this year. We will run a food drive in December and all donations will go to families in Pasco. Please donate nonperishable food items. You may send them with your child or drop them off at the front office beginning December 4th. Thank you in advance for your support of those in need during the holidays.
We have focused a lot this year on the idea of giving back and being kind. Our world could use all the kindness and caring possible at this time. We wish you a joyous and safe holiday season! Here is a thought to leave you with:
The Giving Project
We Can Give!
We can give in many ways,
A hug, some help, or even praise.
We give to friends and family,
and people in our community.
We cheer up people who are feeling blue,
and when we give, our hearts grow, too!
This is the message that we are sharing with students all year long.
